Commissioned by the city of Luxembourg and initially planned as Christmas card for its employees, the city was convinced that the design entitled Covid in the Air would be more suitable as mural in the heart of Luxembourg. As analogy to John Paul Young’s song “Love is in the Air” the humorous scenery depicts whistling viruses flying through the air using masks as parachutes. Painted as last piece in 2020, it serves as contemporary witness of the worldwide prevailing pandemic.
