The designs for the 2023 Christmas stamps are nothing short of surprising: a melting, sweating "Boxemännchen" (St. Nicholas man). While Alain Welter's style may raise a smile at first glance, the illustrations also prompt reflection on the consequences of climate change. That's why, for this year's edition, Post Luxembourg deliberately forego any embellishments to the stamps in order to reinforce the message Alain wanted to convey.
