In the spring of 2024, the European Commission launched a large-scale Street Art project to celebrate the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. My mural, entitled ‘Mother Nature’, created in Halle carries a powerful message about the relationship between humans and nature. The fox is taking a moment to enjoy and appreciate the butterfly flying around. The animal is holding a poppy in its hands, which initially resembles an umbrella and thus metaphorically symbolizes the protection that nature offers us. Just as nature protects us, humanity must also protect nature.

The depiction of a thriving flora and fauna on the second side of the mural is the result of people knowing how to respect and appreciate nature. The fact that the mural is on school grounds shows the importance of raising this awareness already at a young age.
